چکیده
Background: Treatment with tissue plasminogen activator (TPA) for acute stroke requires intensive care of the patient. The risk thrombolytic therapy and need rapid interventions make it clear that nursing role during this time is crucial. aim: This study aims to assess nurses' Performance regarding monitoring patients during administration Tissue Plasminogen Activator drug. Study design: A descriptive exploratory design. Subject: convenient sample all nurses (30) working at previously mentioned setting were recruited participate in study. Setting: study was conducted unit neurology department affiliated Ain Shams University Hospital. Tools: two tools used data collection; self-administered questionnaire nurses’ practice observational checklist. Results conclusion: results showed that, studied had unsatisfactory total knowledge and thirds negative attitude monitoring ischemic TPA positive statistically significant correlation between level nurses` their of was found there no statistically level attitude. Recommendation: Providing in-service educational programs upgrading courses based on evidence-based guidelines needs improve related administration Knowledge sources Arabic language must be provided nurses work place such as simplified comprehensive guidelines, policies, booklets websites about nurse pre, after administration.

The Outcome of Treatment With Recombinant Tissue Plasminogen Activator in Acute Ischemic Stroke
Background: Thrombolytic therapy is the recommended treatment of acute ischemic stroke. It is crucial to evaluate the treatment results with recombinant Tissue Plasminogen Activator (r-TPA) in patients with acute stroke. Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate treatment outcomes with r-TPA in patients with acute stroke in a referral stroke center in Iran. Materials & Methods: In this retrosp...

Objective: Currently, treating ischemic stroke by intravenous thrombolytic therapy has acceptable results in patients with stroke. This study aimed to evaluate the three months prognosis of patients treated with recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (rt-PA).Methods: This cross-sectional prospective study was conducted on 30 patients with cerebral ischemic stroke with the National Insti...
متن کاملAssociation of Geographical Factors With Administration of Tissue Plasminogen Activator for Acute Ischemic Stroke
BACKGROUND Intravenous tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) is an effective treatment for acute ischemic stroke if administered within a few hours of stroke onset. Because of this time restriction, tPA administration remains infrequent. Ambulance use is an effective strategy for increasing tPA administration but may be influenced by geographical factors. The objectives of this study are to invest...

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE We sought to evaluate the effects of administration of microbubbles (MBs) on the beginning, speed, and degree of middle cerebral artery (MCA) recanalization during systemic thrombolysis and continuous 2-MHz pulsed-wave transcranial Doppler (TCD) monitoring. METHODS We evaluated 111 patients with acute stroke attributable to MCA occlusion treated with intravenous tissue ...
